Exploring Emotional Blackmail

An inside look at Insight PPD's Creative Energy Workshops, by student Nina Nelson

The evening took off with an exploration into the meaning of Emotional Blackmail. Evidently something we have all experienced at some level in our lives. We were given the opportunity to learn how we might deal with it; we shared many ideas and were also able to identify the possible effect that it can have on our energy field.

The learning field then became creative and fun as we split into two groups, each of us given the task to demonstrate to each other the words “Optimism” and “Wisdom”.
Interestingly the “Optimistic” group used a glass and their Sensory System. Where as the wise group created some artistic pictures and symbols by way of communication.

This led us on to Depak Chopra’s Seven Spiritual Laws. We soon appreciated the deep meaning of this gentleman’s writing: when practised it can give empowerment, fulfilment as well as wellbeing and peace of mind.

At the end of the evening we were able to take away increased insight into how we cope with some of the challenges of our lives, as well as creating enrichment.

The next evening of the Creativity Energy Workshop will take place on Thursday 17th April 2008 at 7.00pm with the theme:- The Power of Now and The Power of Intention, Realness and Creating Miracles.
