Discovering more about the Healing Arts

an account by Diploma Student, Nina Nelson

Chakras and Emo-Trance were the theme of this second unit within the Healing Arts Diploma. With the use of deep constructive discussion, colourful thinking and even plastic skittles, all within a fun, creative and experiential learning process, our awareness of the energy fields steadily developed.

On a parallel to this, we learnt about the Chakra system which gave more meaning to our awareness and the part it plays in relationships with self and others.   This led us into learning about a useful technique known as Emo-Trance which releases blocked energy and ensures its flow.

The sun shone down on us throughout this weekend which enabled us to utilise the hotel’s grounds to do many of the exercises. On Monday morning we had a surprise visit from a young lady from Ivel FM radio with a tray of buns to express our appreciation to our wonderful trainers and to bid Birthday wishes to a couple of the group members. Combined with the strong foundation of therapeutic skills learnt from our previous ‘Insight’ learning we came away with a powerful technique which can be used safely and effectively
